Frequently Asked Parking Questions

Q. What are the garage heights?

6 feet is the lowest height of any garage.

Q. Is there a discount to use TollTag at the airport?

Regular parking rates apply for TollTags (Terminal, Express, Remote). Parking fees of up to $10 are deducted from the pre‐paid account balance. Parking fees greater than $10 are charged directly to the credit/debit card on file with NTTA.

Q. Can TollTag account be used to pay for prepaid parking?

No, you must pre‐book your prepaid parking online which involves pre‐paying for your parking with a credit/debit card. Once this is completed, you can enter the south or north Parking Plaza using your TollTag.

Q. Can I drive a vehicle different from the reservation?

Modifications to your reservation, such as your license plate, must be made at least 1 hour prior to your booking arrival time through the "Find my purchase" feature on the DFW Airport Prepaid Parking site. This change can be made with no additional fee. Arriving in a vehicle different from the reservation will result in a charge at the posted parking rate.

Q. Why doesn’t my TollTag work at the airport?

There may be a few reasons for this:

  • If you have a cash account, you must convert it to a credit card account to use the TollTag at DFW.
  • Certain vehicles are equipped with special windshields that contain metal in the glass that prevents the TollTag from being read properly. If you are unsure about whether your vehicle has one of these windshields, consult your Owner’s Manual or contact the dealer where you purchased your car. (Taken from NTTA’s website)
  • The TollTag may be blocked for entry into the airport due to unpaid parking fees. Please contact our customer service center Monday‐Friday 8:00 A.M. – 4:15 P.M. at 972‐973‐4840 to remit payment.
Q. How do I get a receipt for my parking?
  • NTTA receipts can be received through the NTTA Customer Service Center.
  • For credit card receipts, please contact our customer service center Monday‐Friday 8:00 A.M‐4:15 P.M. at 972‐973‐4840.
  • Your prepaid parking confirmation will include the amount paid and will be your receipt.
Q. Is there a grace period when prepaying to park?

There is a seven (7) hour grace period (should the 4‐hour grace period be posted on the website instead of the 7) for entry prior to your online itinerary scheduled entry time and four (4) hour grace period for exit your online itinerary exit time. If you arrive before this grace period, you will be charged the length of the stay before the grace period at DFW Airport’s current posted parking rates (these rates may vary from the rates quoted via the online system).

Q. What if my license plate on NTTA doesn’t match the one on my vehicle?

Your access method will be based on License Plate Recognition or QR Code. You may review your TollTag information and make any needed updates to your License Plate/TollTag associations through the NTTA Customer Service Center.
