Prepaid Parking Online FAQs

Q: How does Prepaid Parking Online work?  How do I book parking online?
  • Visit www.dfwairport.com/park.
  • Enter your information as prompted (e.g., departure date/time, return date/time, airline, and promo code). Depending on your search dates, parking products on sale will display.
  • Choose the product that you would like to purchase and follow the prompts. You will need your license plate number in order to complete your purchase.
  • Follow FAQ instructions on the website for details on how to enter and exit the airport using your TollTag or generated QR code. Video instructions are also available.  
Q. Is there a grace period when prepaying to park?

Yes, you may enter up to four (4) hours in advance of your parking reservation start time and leave up to four (4) hours past your reservation end time, free of charge. If you arrive before this grace period, you will be charged the length of the stay before the grace period at DFW Airport’s current posted parking rates (these rates may vary from the rates quoted via the online system).

Q. Can I make changes to the prepaid parking reservation?

Yes, you may make changes to your reservation up to one (1) hour in advance of your reservation start time.

Q. What if I need to cancel?

You may cancel your booking at any time up to one (1) hour before the beginning of your booking arrival time and receive a full refund. To do so, you can click here or click on the ‘Modify Booking’ link on the confirmation email and then cancel or modify.

Q. What are the physical addresses for the non-Terminal parking lots?
  • Express North:

  • Express South:

  • Remote South:

Q. Can I drive a vehicle different from the reservation?

Modifications to your reservation, such as your license plate, must be made at least 1 hour prior to your booking arrival time through the "Find my purchase" feature on the DFW Airport Prepaid Parking site. This change can be made with no additional fee. Arriving in a vehicle different from the reservation will result in a charge at the posted parking rate.

Q. Can TollTag account be used to pay for prepaid parking?

No, you must pre‐book your prepaid parking online which involves pre‐paying for your parking with a credit/debit card. Once this is completed, you can enter the south or north Parking Plaza using your TollTag.

Q. I prepaid online; do I have to specify what Terminal I am flying out of? Is there a special area I should park in and is my spot reserved?
  • Please note for Terminal, Express Covered, Express Uncovered and Remote, you will not be assigned a specific parking space, but one will be available to you.

  • If prepaying for Terminal parking and purchased a Terminal product that is specified to a particular Terminal, you must park in the specified Terminal garage, in any long-term space. If you are prepaying for Terminal and purchased a generic Terminal product, without any mention of a specific terminal, you can park in any available long-term parking spot within all five (5) Terminal garages.

  • When prepaying for Remote South, Express Covered or Express Uncovered, you must park in the parking product specified.

Q. Which lane do I use when I arrive at the airport?

If you had an issue when entering the airport, and took a ticket from the machine, please use the “Cash Only” lane to speak to an attendant and show them your prepaid parking reservation.

Otherwise, you may use any lane to enter and exit through the airport toll plazas.

Q. What if I had an issue entering the airport and took a ticket? Will my reservation still work when I try to exit?

No, when exiting the airport please use the “Cash Only” lane to speak to an attendant and show them your prepaid parking reservation.

Q. The prepaid website says a lot is sold out, can I still park there?

Yes, we sell a limited number of spots online to ensure that customers who drive up without a prepaid reservation can still find parking.

However, all drive up customers will pay the drive-up parking rates, which can be found here under each product.

Q. I saw an ad online for a special rate, but I am unable to see the discounted rate.

Our promotions are limited on the quantity we sell as well as the dates that we offer the discounted rate.

If you do not see the rate, please ensure you have typed in the promotion code correctly. If you still do not see the discounted rate, then it is safe to assume that the discounted rate is not available for the dates in question.

Q. How can I extend my parking reservation?

Q. If my trip ends early, can I get a partial refund for the unused part of my parking reservation?

No, we do not provide partial refunds for parking reservations which have ended early.

Q. Once I have arrived at the airport, can I leave and then come back on the same reservation?

No, you are not able to leave and return on the same reservation.

Once you have entered through the toll gates, your reservation will be marked as completed after you exit, and re-entering the airport afterwards will result in being charged the drive-up rate for the lot you parked in.

Q. What if I prepaid for parking and was informed by airport guest assistance to park at a different location other than a terminal garage, such as Express North. Will I receive a refund?

A: Yes, please contact our customer service to request a refund Monday – Friday 8:00A.M. - 4:15 P.M. at 972-973-4840.

Q. What is the QR code in the confirmation email for?

The QR code is the backup method to enter and exit through the toll plazas.

If the gates do not open automatically after a few seconds when you pull up, then please scan the QR code located in your email confirmation to enter and/or exit.

Q. If I park valet after prepaying, can I get reimbursed?

Yes, please contact our customer service to request a refund Monday‐Friday 8:00 A.M – 4:15 P.M. at 972‐973‐4840.

Q. When I prepay online, will I be charged right away or when I exit the parking lot?

Your credit card will be charged at the time of payment.

Q. What do I need to enter the parking lot if I prepaid?

Please have your QR code that you received in your email confirmation up and ready on your phone. The toll gates should open automatically within a few seconds of you pulling up. If they do not, please scan the QR code to get through the toll gate. Do not pull a ticket.

Q. What payment methods are accepted for prepaid reservations?

Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards are accepted.

Q. Are there any additional taxes or fees in the parking rates seen on the prepaid website?

No, all related fees and taxes are included in the rates you see when searching for your desired itinerary.

Q. How far in advance can I prepay for parking?

You may prepay for parking up to nine (9) months in advance of your planned arrival date at the airport.

Q. Can I have multiple upcoming reservations for the same car?

Yes, you may book multiple reservations for your future trips with the same car.

Q. What is the minimum length of stay required to prepay for parking?

Your parking itinerary must be for six (6) hours or greater.

Q. What is the maximum length of stay for prepaid parking?

The maximum parking stay is thirty (30) days.

Q. *Need assistance in making a prepaid parking reservation or modifying the dates of an existing reservation?

*The customer service center is unable to assist with these requests due to Payment Card Industry and Personal Identifiable Information compliance.

To cancel or modify a reservation, go to "Find my purchase" located in the upper right hand corner of the Prepaid Parking page or click here. You will need the reference number from your payment confirmation email and the email address you provided during the payment process in order to access this file.
