DFW AIRPORT, Texas (Sep. 15, 2026)
Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is building one of the nation's most comprehensive premium airport experiences, with a series of recent lounge openings, expansions and enhanced service announcements that together are giving travelers more choice, flexibility and control throughout every stage of their journey.
DFW continues investing across the entire customer experience – from expanded dining to retail to enhanced digital tools and terminal improvements – giving travelers more ways to personalize how they experience the airport. Lounge offerings are a key part of that strategy, creating more opportunities for customers to relax, recharge and tailor their airport experience.
Today, DFW offers more than 20 lounges and premium spaces across its terminals, creating one of the nation’s largest and most diverse collections of airline, independent and premium credit card lounge experiences. That portfolio is expected to grow by more than 45% -from nearly 162,000 square feet today to more than 234,000 square feet as planned lounge projects and announced expansions are completed.
That growth is being driven by a series of recent openings and announced expansions across the airport. The new 18,000-square-foot Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club features premium wellness amenities, family spaces and locally inspired hospitality. The airport also welcomed a first-in-the-nation Plaza Premium First Lounge and the airport’s second Plaza Premium Lounge this spring – bringing elevated dining and personalized service. The American Express Centurion Lounge is also expanding to be nearly 50 percent larger than its current footprint, adding more seating, a new dining area and a second full-service bar.
American Airlines, DFW's largest airline partner, also continues to expand its premium lounge offerings at the airport. Its current portfolio includes five Admirals Club® lounges, the Flagship® lounge and Flagship® First dining. As part of the reimagined Terminal C, the airline has announced plans for its largest-ever 37,000-square-foot Admirals Club® lounge, while the future Terminal F will introduce a Provisions by Admirals Club℠ concept as the first phase of American's premium offerings in the new terminal.
Beyond the lounge experience, American is also expanding its exclusive Flagship® services at DFW. The airline recently announced a new Flagship® check-in experience in Terminal D, offering eligible customers a dedicated arrival experience with private check-in, personalized service and convenient access to security screening. Together, these investments extend the premium experience beyond the lounge itself while complementing DFW's broader strategy of providing customers with more elevated experiences throughout their journey.
For customers seeking an even more private experience, Private Suites recently opened a dedicated private terminal at DFW, offering private and semi-private TSA and Customs processing, luxury lounge and suite accommodations, and transportation across the airfield directly to and from customers' commercial aircraft. The experience allows eligible customers to complete much of their airport journey outside the traditional terminal environment.
A key advantage unique to DFW is its fully airside-connected terminal system. Using Skylink, eligible customers can conveniently access lounges and other customer amenities throughout the airport regardless of where their flight departs. That gives travelers access to any lounge they're eligible for, regardless of terminal, creating one of the nation's most connected premium airport experiences.
As North Texas continues to expand as a global business and tourism destination, DFW is investing across every stage of the customer journey, from digital tools including security checkpoint wait times, live parking availability, interactive maps, customized updates and more on the DFW Airport mobile app to transformational projects like the reimagined Terminal C, the new Terminal F and more. These projects and tools are part of how DFW is creating an airport experience that gives customers more options throughout their journey.
