Construction Notice: Roadway Work Continues on International Parkway, DFW Airport Schedules Weekend Closures of Various Terminal C and D Exits

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) has scheduled temporary road closures and lane reductions at various locations to support key construction activity. The closures will primarily impact northbound traffic on International Parkway, as well as customers exiting Terminals C and D. Detours will be in place to support traffic movement.

Customers traveling out of DFW during the planned closures can directly influence their travel experience by arriving at the airport early and utilizing traffic apps to check live drivetime conditions to determine if additional transit time is needed.

Terminal C North Exit Closed Friday, May 30 into Sunday, June 1

A 28-hour closure of Terminal C’s North Exit returning to N. International Parkway is scheduled to be closed from 11 p.m. on Friday, May 30 through 3 a.m. on Sunday, June 1. All vehicles leaving Terminal C to exit the airport will be detoured to the South Exit. Customers are encouraged to exit DFW via the South Exit Plaza; however, can take the U-turn to return to N. International Parkway.

Additionally, a portion of N. International Parkway, adjacent to Terminal C, will have its right lane closed to accommodate the construction work. With the lane reduction, congestion on N. International Parkway is anticipated.

Terminal D North Exit Closed Friday, June 6 into Saturday, June 7

A 24-hour closure of Terminal D’s North Exit returning to N. International Parkway is scheduled to be closed from 11 p.m. on Friday, June 6 through 11 p.m. on Saturday, June 7. All vehicles leaving Terminal D to exit the airport will be detoured to the South Exit. Customers are encouraged to exit DFW via the South Exit Plaza; however, can take the U-turn to return to N. International Parkway.

Additionally, a portion of N. International Parkway, adjacent to Terminal C, will have its right lane closed to accommodate the construction work. With the lane reduction, congestion on N. International Parkway is anticipated.

Progress Continues on New Bridges into Terminals A, B and C

The construction activity taking place during the various roadway impacts will support the placement of structural beams for the future bridge access into Terminal C as part of the ongoing work to transform access to Terminals A, B and C to right-hand exits. Similar work has already taken place at Terminals A and B. Closures are strategically phased with project partners and airport stakeholders to ensure activity is scheduled during timeframes with the least impact to customers.
