Recently, a passenger in Terminal E (AA, Envoy, & Frontier) had her cat escape from the pet carrier while she was transiting through security. The cat ran away, went down thru the conveyor system, and became trapped and lost inside the walls of the Vanderlande offices on the ramp level. For approximately 1 week, the Vanderlande crew placed several humane traps, food options (canned tuna, cat treats, kibbles, etc.) and tried calling the cat out. Finally, the cat was rescued and retuned back to the passenger. This is the second cat in less than 1 year to be caught by the Vanderlande crew at Terminal E.
