The World Is Starting to Arrive at DFW

Last week, DFW Airport welcomed Sweden's national team as one of the first tournament-related arrivals in North Texas. The team has established its training base camp in Frisco, marking an early sign that preparations are shifting into tournament operations.

While the arrival made for an exciting moment on the airfield, it also represented something bigger: after nearly two years of planning, preparation and investment, DFW is moving from preparation to delivery as the world begins arriving in North Texas and across North America.

Welcoming Visitors from Around the World

As one of the 16 host regions, North Texas will host nine matches during the tournament and welcome visitors from around the globe and across North America.

For many international visitors, DFW will serve as their first impression of North Texas. That responsibility has shaped nearly every aspect of the airport’s preparation efforts.
