Construction Notice: DFW Airport Schedules Weekend Roadway Closure to Support Demolition Activity

DFW AIRPORT, Texas (May 28, 2026)

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) will implement a temporary road closure to support demolition of the bridge that previously provided access into the airport’s South Express parking facilities, which have closed to support the expansion of Terminal F. The demolition activity will result in a 12-hour closure of Southbound International Parkway from early Saturday evening into early Sunday morning. Customers are encouraged to plan ahead and arrive early if traveling through DFW during the scheduled activity.

May 30-31: Southbound International Parkway Closure

From 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 30 through 8 a.m. on Sunday, May 31, southbound International Parkway will be closed south of Terminal E. This temporary closure will prevent traffic from exiting the airport to the south; therefore, all traffic will be required to leave the airport via the North Exit Plaza.

To support the temporary traffic changes, the South Exit from each terminal will be closed during this time, requiring all traffic to exit each terminal via its North Exit. Customers will be able to enter the terminal area from both the north and south; however, all traffic will be directed to exit the airport to the north.

Customers Encouraged to Plan Ahead, Arrive Early and Use Digital Tools

With a historic magnitude of construction taking place across the airport’s roads and terminals, customers are encouraged to add additional time into their travel plans and utilize helpful tools to navigate the airport.

The DFW Airport mobile app, available for iOS and Android, provides customers easy access to helpful tools for navigating the airport, including live parking availability, security wait times and construction updates.
