(DFW AIRPORT, Texas – June 1, 2018) – Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport is reducing the frequency of its TRE Shuttle Bus service from the Trinity Railway Express CentrePort station starting on Monday, June 4, 2018.
The new schedule calls for the shuttle buses to run twice an hour, picking up passengers at the CentrePort station at :25 and :55 minutes past the hour.
The TRE Shuttle connects train passengers from the TRE Station at CentrePort to the Remote South Parking lot, where riders then must take an Remote South shuttle bus to get to the Airport terminals.
The TRE Shuttle Bus service will eventually be replaced by TEXRail from Trinity Metro, which is scheduled to begin commuter rail service from downtown Fort Worth to DFW Terminal B by the end of 2018. The TRE Shuttle Bus service will be eliminated completely in early 2019, after TEXRail has begun regular service.
With TEXRail service from downtown Fort Worth or with the DART Orange Line light rail from downtown Dallas, passengers will be able to ride a train directly to DFW Airport terminals without the need for shuttle bus transfers.
