(DFW AIRPORT, Texas – Nov. 20, 2018) – Dallas Fort Worth International (DFW) Airport will warmly welcome nearly 2.2 million passengers who are expected to travel from, to or through the Airport between Friday, Nov. 16 and Tuesday, Nov. 27. Consistently ranked as one of the best airports in the world, DFW is well prepared to connect customers to their flights and provide them with the best possible experience.
To help customers, DFW is providing its first Top Five Travel Tips for the holidays.
- Plan Ahead, Connect and Save
Parking: Customers can save up to 50% on Terminal, Express or Remote Parking when they prepay online through www.dfwairport.com/park or the DFW Mobile App. Customers can book online as soon as they know their travel plans, or as late as one hour before arriving.
Restaurants: DFW Airport makes it easy for customers with short connection times to keep their families fed before a flight or during a quick layover. Through the DFW Mobile App and select airline apps, customers can pre-order meals and snacks for pick-up in less than 20 minutes. Customers skip the lines and head straight from the counter to their gate, leaving plenty of time to relax before boarding.
- Unplug and Be Entertained
Every DFW terminal is adorned with festive decorations this year, highlighted by the Airport’s signature 37-foot tall tree with holographic display near D30. Through the New Year, customers should be on the look-out for holiday surprises that include singers, dancers, entertainers and tasty treats at Santa’s Workshop, located near gates B30 and D36.
- Save Room in Your Suitcase, Shop at DFW
Customers are sure to find the perfect gift for everyone on their list when they shop at DFW. With more than 95 stores to choose from, travelers can find presents ranging from purses to perfume, shoes to sports jerseys, computers to chocolates, and everything in between. A great place to start is DFW’s TRG Duty Free store (D22), where both domestic and international customers will discover a mix of high-end brands and local favorites.
- Play and Win on DFW’s Free Wi-Fi
Once they connect to DFW’s free Wi-Fi in all terminals, customers can win big when they play the Airport’s holiday game on the DFW Mobile app or at www.dfwairport.com/holiday. Prizes include Coca-Cola beverages and GRAB gift codes that can be used on food and beverage purchases throughout the Airport. All participants will also be entered for the chance to win a $500 holiday shopping spree.
- Relax and Recharge with the Newest Lounges
DFW’s new lounges, the American Express Centurion Lounge (D12) and The Club DFW (D27) provide customers with a place to unwind and gear up for their trip. Both lounges just completed major enhancements, expanding their space, and upgrading furniture, décor and food options. Those looking for extra pampering can find it in one the Airport’s many spas, including recently opened Spa Here (C12).
