DFW AIRPORT, Texas — Dec. 28, 2020 — While acknowledging 2020 was a year unlike any other, filled with extraordinary challenges and much uncertainty, DFW Airport CEO Sean Donohue pointed out the progress achieved despite of the difficulties. These accomplishments exceeded the challenges and enabled DFW Airport to not only survive but outperform every other U.S. airport and the majority of global airports.
In a letter to colleagues and partners, Donohue offered congratulations and appreciation of their outstanding resiliency and commitment to DFW during an extraordinary year and noted progress toward achieving the goals in the Airport’s 2016-2020 Strategic Plan.
“DFW Airport continues to grow and be a global leader in aviation thanks to you and our more than 2,000 Board employees,” Donohue wrote. “Our work on important infrastructure developments such as the Integrated Operations Center, several airfield projects, and Terminal D expansion continued. The Terminal D expansion, expected to open in 2021, will provide four new gates and serve international and domestic flights. Jobs related to these projects will support approximately 4,000 jobs for the region.”
