(DFW AIRPORT, Texas – March 21, 2019) – Dallas Fort Worth International (DFW) Airport celebrated the grand re-opening of the Terminal D Interfaith Chapel, one of five chapels in the terminals. Located near Gate D40, the new chapel includes improved facilities and amenities to better serve passengers, military members, and airport employees.
The Terminal D chapel has increased its seating capacity and added two ablution stations adjacent to the chapel for ritual purification. Additional upgrades to the space include increased space for scriptures and holy texts, dedicated shelving to store shoes, and kneelers.
Since its establishment in 1977, the chaplaincy’s mission is to serve customers as a ministry of presence, spiritual counseling, and personal support to the DFW community at large, providing places of worship and reflection for people of all faiths and religious traditions.
Additional chapel locations at DFW include Terminal A – Gate 24 (post security), Terminal B – Gate 25 (post security), Terminal C – Gate 15 (pre-security) and Terminal E – Gate 4 (post security). Subject to Chaplain availability, weekly services at the Terminal D chapel include:
