Terminal F Expansion Program

We’re Putting the “F” in Future with Terminal F

To help support the ongoing growth by both the airlines and the North Texas region, construction a DFW’s sixth Terminal F is officially underway. The $1.6 billion Terminal F program will deliver an all-new experience for customers, featuring:

  • 400,000-square-foot concourse
  • 15 gates
  • Modernized baggage handling systems
  • New Skylink Station

Plus, the program includes an expansion of Terminal E with more than 100,000 square feet of new check-in, security and baggage claim facilities dedicated to customers flying in and out of Terminal F. The new terminal has been strategically designed for the future, providing DFW the flexibility to expand with additional gates and more supporting facilities.

Construction is Officially Underway

In November 2024, airport officials and project partners celebrated the beginning of construction on Terminal F – marking the first new construction of an entire terminal at DFW since Terminal D opened in 2005. Work is underway at both the site of the future home of Terminal F and the pre-fabrication site where DFW is taking the modular construction method to a new industry-leading scale. At this site, six megastructure modules will be built before being moved across the airfield for installation at the final terminal site. 2.4 Terminal F
