DFW is the second airport in North America to achieve an IATA CEIV Pharma certified cargo community. DFW along with strategic logistics service providers within the cargo community were awarded IATA’s Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) certification from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the trade association for the world’s airlines.
The distinction recognizes these companies for successfully completing a rigorous testing and validation process that meet global standards set by IATA and pharmaceutical manufacturers for safe and efficient handling of pharmaceutical/ life science products at airports. DFW adopted the community approach to the certification process by assembling logistics partners specialized in ground handling, trucking, cold storage/ warehousing and freight forwarding.
