Overview
This plugin is designed to provide flight information and navigation guidance for travelers using Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). The plugin processes user initiated queries and displays relevant data in ChatGPT. This disclosure explains what information the plugin accesses, how it handles data, and the privacy practices followed.
1. Categories of Data Collected
A. Data Provided by Users
The plugin may receive the following user supplied information only when a user enters it into ChatGPT:
- Flight numbers
- Dates
- Airport terminal or gate information requested
- General travel related queries
The plugin does not request or require names, contact information, payment information, or any sensitive personal identifiers.
B. Automatically Processed Data
When responding to user queries, the plugin may process:
- Metadata associated with a user’s prompt (e.g., query text)
- Server logs containing non identifiable request details (timestamp, request type)
All logs are redacted to remove personal data, as required.
C. No Persistent Personal Data Collection
The plugin:
- Does not store user personal data beyond what is required for the immediate interaction
- Does not use user data for tracking, profiling, marketing, or analytics
- Does not share user data with third parties
2. Data Usage
Information collected is used solely for the following purposes:
- Returning real time flight details
- Providing navigation and terminal guidance
- Facilitating transitions to the official DFW Airport mobile app when requested
The plugin does not use user data for advertising, personalization, or external communication.
3. Data Retention
- Only minimal operational logs are retained, with all PII redacted.
- Logs are maintained solely for debugging, safety, and service reliability.
- Data is retained for the shortest necessary duration and deleted according to operational policies.

4. Security Practices
The plugin follows OpenAI’s required security measures:
- Least privilege: The plugin only accesses the data needed to fulfill a user request.
- Explicit consent: The user triggers all actions through ChatGPT. No background actions occur without user intention.
- Defense in depth: All external calls are validated server side; user input is checked for injection or misuse.
- No secrets embedded: API keys or sensitive tokens are never exposed to users.
5. Third Party APIs
The plugin may call airport or travel data APIs to fetch:
- Flight status
- Terminal & gate info
- Baggage claim details
- Airport navigation resources
These calls are made without transmitting personal user identifiers.
6. User Rights
Users may:
- Control what data is shared by choosing what they enter into ChatGPT. Do not enter personal or biometric data (e.g., fingerprints, facial scans).
