TSA ConfirmID

What is TSA ConfirmID?

TSA ConfirmID is an option available to passengers who are unable to present the required acceptable ID to have their identity verified at the TSA checkpoint.

How TSA ConfirmID Works

  • Passengers who do not present acceptable ID – such as a passport or REAL ID–compliant state-issued identification – may verify their identity using this fee-based service.
  • Use of the service requires a $45 fee. TSA recommends that you pre-pay via Pay.gov before arriving at the airport to avoid delays or missing your flight.
  • The verification process typically takes 10–15 minutes, although it could take 30 minutes or more depending on checkpoint conditions and screening needs.
  • To avoid paying this fee in the future, passengers are encouraged to get a REAL ID.
  • Please note: If TSA cannot verify your identity, you will be denied entry to the security checkpoint.
