TSA Cares
Security Screening Assistance
The Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) offers TSA Cares, a program offering security screening assistance by request. A specially trained TSA Passenger Support Specialist (PSS) provides assistance through security screening. PSS officers understand how to effectively assist and communicate with individuals with disabilities or medical conditions, and passengers who need additional screening support. A request for PSS service does not exempt you from security screening.
Requests for this service should be made at least 72-hours prior to your departure by completing the TSA Cares form or calling TSA Cares at (855) 787-2227.
TSA Cares hours of operation are available at the program website here.
Please contact your airline to request airport wheelchair service. TSA does not provide this service.
Wheelchair Accessibility
Wheelchair service is offered through your air carrier upon request. To ensure availability and timely service, it is strongly recommended that this service be reserved in advance. Wheelchair assistance may also be requested at airline ticket counters.
