DFW AIRPORT, Texas (Jan. 23, 2026)
Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is monitoring a Winter Storm Warning issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) for the North Texas region, with freezing temperatures and winter precipitation possible starting today through the weekend. Airport teams are actively supporting safe, efficient travel across the airport as conditions change.
Crews are prepared to treat runways and taxiways on the airfield, as well as bridges, overpasses and roadways across airport property. The airport’s size and scale require a highly coordinated approach to winter weather preparedness, supported by significant infrastructure, equipment and around-the-clock staffing.

Inside DFW’s Integrated Operations Center, teams are closely monitoring evolving forecasts and coordinating with airline partners, the NWS, the Federal Aviation Administration and other federal agencies. This coordination allows DFW to adjust operations quickly as conditions change and support partners across the airport.
At this time, airport operations remain normal. Travelers are encouraged to monitor forecasts, allow extra time when traveling to the airport and check directly with their airline for the most up-to-date flight information.
