DFW AIRPORT, TX (Oct. 9, 2025) – Founders' Plaza at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is scheduled to temporarily close to the public starting Oct. 15 to safely accommodate a soil remediation project in areas around the plaza. The construction activity is scheduled to last an estimated three months with Founders' Plaza scheduled to reopen in early 2026.
As an area that is frequently used by photographers and visitors to the airport, the airport requests the public to continue following all standard safety and security protocols.
- Safety first: Use other public areas that are safe to park in, including publicly available parking lots. Please do not stop your vehicle or park on the side of any roadways and continue to follow all posted signage and traffic laws.
- Construction awareness: With increased construction projects across the airport, be cautious of construction zones and work sites. We ask that these areas are avoided for your safety and enjoyment.
- Secured areas: Stay alert for airport signage to remain out of secured and prohibited areas of the airport.
- Stay connected for updates: To stay informed on closure details, sign up for construction updates or follow DFW on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X.
