Connect to DFW Airport’s Terminals via Rail Options During the Busy Holiday Season

DFW AIRPORT, Texas (Dec. 16, 2025)

Reaching DFW Airport’s terminal area is easier when you let our region’s rail network help with the connection – especially during the busy holiday travel season. Whether you’re taking off for the holidays or coming into town to visit family, several public transit options offer connections directly to our terminals from across the area – ready to keep you free from holiday traffic.

Move Seamlessly Between Dallas and Fort Worth via the TRE

The Trinity Railway Express (TRE) connects both cities to the CentrePort/DFW Airport Station. From there, the TRE Link shuttle brings riders directly to the terminals. It’s a steady alternative during peak seasons for travelers who want to avoid parking or heavy holiday traffic.

Meet Away from Terminal Traffic

If you’re meeting arriving guests – or visiting the region yourself – consider coordinating your pickup at the rail station closest to your final stop.

Each rail line connects into neighborhoods and cities across North Texas, offering a quieter alternative to holiday terminal traffic. Travelers can step off at the nearest station and meet their ride there, away from the heaviest curbside crowds.

On your return trip, have your ride drop you at that same station. Skipping terminal congestion is often the easiest gift you can give family or friends during the holidays.

Plan Your Holiday Transit with Confidence

Rail service runs frequently, with trains arriving every 30 minutes during peak weekday hours and every 60 minutes on evenings and weekends. Learn more by visiting DART, Trinity Metro’s TEXRail and TRE pages. The GoPass app is the best tool for checking schedules, buying passes and planning transfers.

Move Through the Terminals Smoothly Once You Arrive

  • Skylink (after security) connects each terminal seamlessly.
  • Terminal Link shuttles (before security) help you reach your gate or pickup location.

Rail is one of the most dependable ways to move through holiday crowds, skip traffic delays, and make sure every part of your trip – from train to plane – runs on time.
