About DFW

In 2023, DFW served over 79 million passengers, making it the busiest year in its 49-year history. It has continued to grow by adding new destinations and welcoming people from all over the world. It also earned the distinct honor of being named the “Best Airport in North America for Customer Service” by Airports Council International North America for the second year in a row. DFW Airport spans over 17,000 acres and includes seven runways, five terminals and 168 gates. Located in one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the United States, DFW is a major economic driver of the North Texas region, serving over 79 million passengers in FY 2023 and employing approximately 2,000 people.
