What’s Up with DFW Commercial Development?

Over the past few years, DFW Airport has worked diligently to attract significant projects with positive economic impacts.  These development activities are made possible, in part, by DFW Airport’s ability to recognize and encourage growth in knowledgeable and hard-working people within the team.  Carolina Roa, was recently promoted to a Senior Land and Facilities Development Manager position in Commercial Development.  Ms. Roa has worked in the department for over four years and has more than ten years of experience successfully leading complex real estate development projects at US airports from concept to design, and through construction.  In her new role, she is responsible for all aspects of real property planning and development which includes: development and implementation of feasibility studies, planning, and development programs for the Airport’s real property outside the central terminals area and effective construction, acquisition, lease administration and property management of the Airport’s non-airline related real property and facilities. We are thrilled to have Carolina in this new role!

Other exciting news around the airport includes new business developments such as dnata Cargo which transports dry, perishable and pharmaceutical cargo from border-to-border and coast-to-coast; Stream Realty who is the first to offer industrial buildings in three different sizes at the south end of the Airport; and a new line of business, the Drive Nation Sports facility that connects our community in greater depth by offering a variety of core programs that encourage youth development.

DFW Airport is proud to be a leader in future growth; standing apart and seizing opportunities to go above and beyond expectations.

I know you’ll enjoy reading all about our development projects in the next few articles and if you get a chance, congratulate Carolina Roa in her new role!

All the best,
