Book your flights, pack your bags and get ready to fly with our top 10 travel hacks for 2025. From digital tools to savvy tricks, we’ve got everything you need to navigate DFW Airport. Plus, we’ve packed extra ✈️ Travel Tips to help you get the best out of your time when visiting us.

1. Put the App in Happy Travels

Download the essentials, including the DFW mobile app (i0S or Android) and your airline’s mobile app. Having both apps ready for travel day will ensure you’re equipped with the right information and helpful tools to navigate one of the world’s busiest airports.

✈️ Travel Tip: Opt in to the DFW mobile app’s all-new push notifications and customization options so we can keep you updated along the way.

2. Stay informed and aware of airport construction

Historic investments are underway to build a bigger and even better DFW. Stay informed with travel updates on our Construction Corner webpage, especially when flying out of Terminal C which is undergoing a complete overhaul.

✈️ Travel Tip: Sign up for construction updates via email.

3. Save money with Prebook Parking

Who doesn’t love a deal? Prebook parking online, or on the DFW mobile app, to save up to 50% off drive-up prices. Book early to secure the best rates and product availability.

✈️ Travel Tip: Creating a MyDFW account will allow you to prebook faster, manage your bookings and receive specials and discounts.

4. Consider public transit options

Want to avoid the hustle on the roads? Consider one of several public transit options, including DART, TEXRail and TRE, when arriving to DFW or when you return.

5. Check drivetime options on your favorite traffic app

Let’s avoid traffic AND the classic dinner table argument on whether Google, Apple or Waze is the best. They’re all considered experts so use any of them to find the best routes to DFW that avoid traffic.

✈️ Travel Tip: It’s us, your broken travel record, recommending all customers arrive two hours before their flight and even earlier for international.

6. Easy come, easy go with your TollTag

Using your TollTag to enter and exit the airport is the quickest and easiest. Contactless options like Apple Pay and Google Pay is also a great backup plan. Plus, this will ensure you’re ready for Feb. 1 when the terminal Exit Plazas transition to digital payments.

✈️ Travel Tip: Link your TollTag to your MyDFW account for quick entry and exit with prebook parking.

7. Park easier with live drive-up parking availability

If you didn’t catch on to Travel Hack #3, we still got you. Find parking easier with live drive-up parking availability of our terminal garages, as well as Express and Remote lots. Take savvy travel to the next level by checking availability in the DFW mobile app.

8. Find the short lines with security wait times

Choose a checkpoint based on security wait times and explore which locations have TSA PreCheck, Priority and General options. This one can be found in the DFW mobile app, too.

9. Keep carry-on convenience in mind when arriving

If you’re traveling light with no checked bags, you’ve got options when flying American Airlines. Our hub airline operates across all five terminals, adding flexibility for customers looking to park, check-in, get through security.

✈️ Travel Tip: Combine Travel Hacks #7 and #8 to plan your arrival so you and your carry-on can easily find parking and go through the quickest security line. Then, easily connect to your gate with Skylink.

10. Eat, drink and shop with DFWOrderNow.com

Treat yourself and order ahead with DFWOrderNow.com from one of DFW’s many restaurants and stores. Sip, snack and skip the lines by ordering ahead for pick up or delivery right to your gate.

✈️ Travel Tip: Always bring an extra snack for the plane. Find your travel favorites by exploring our interactive terminal map online or in the DFW mobile app.
