About DFW

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is the global, world-class superhub that warmly welcomes travelers on their journey to discover, connect and grow while the Airport creates innovative, varied, and efficient experiences that open horizons. DFW celebrates a new way to travel by thinking ahead to make each traveler feel more welcome, no matter where they are coming from or headed to. The Airport embodies the local culture of hospitality for customers and employees, and adds to that a global, business-first attitude with its partners. The result: DFW is the perfect place to find new things on the way to life-changing places.

Today, following a three-year strategic plan new in 2021, DFW is building on past successes while designing a sustainable course for the future.

As one of the most frequently visited airports in the world, DFW connected 55.4 million passengers and 985,000 tons of cargo to destinations across the globe in fiscal year 2021. The Airport recovered passenger traffic to 76% of pre-pandemic levels in the same year, making it the second-busiest airport in the world. Passengers connected to 261 destinations – 196 domestic and 65 international – for an average of 1,695 flights per day. Cargo operations continued to account for more than half of DFW’s economic impact, and the new DFW Cargo Cloud is planned to transform the way cargo transactions are shared through the supply chain.

Owned by and centered between Dallas and Fort Worth, DFW is a major economic driver for the North Texas region and the state of Texas, generating jobs and providing meaningful business opportunities for minority-owned and women-owned businesses while connecting people and cargo to the world.

DFW’s stakeholders, including passengers, business partners, investors, regulators, employees and surrounding communities, are instrumental in the success of the Airport and its goals.
