ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS CALENDARS PRINTED WITH RECYCLED PAPER |
|
DFW’s environmental affairs department chose to print its 2008 calendar on recycled paper to help employees be aware of the recycled option when choosing paper to print on at work and home. The recycled tan paper with “flecks” was purposely chosen to grab peoples’ attention, and make them realize the paper is recycled.
The paper used in the calendar was Green Seal® Certified and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified. Paper products with these certifications are readily available and can be purchased at retail stores. By choosing recycled inkjet printer paper, copy machine paper and notepad paper, companies and individuals promote sustainable environmental practices for one of the most common consumer products.
More companies are recognizing that environmentally responsible design and production are an integral part of their mission and the value they want to deliver to their customers. The Green Seal sends a clear message about improving the health and welfare of people and the planet.
Products with the FSC logo guarantee that the wood is from a certified well-managed forest. These products are available across the world from a variety of mills, manufacturers and distributors.
