Improvements are taking place at our front door and beyond.
While driving through DFW Airport please look for signage to direct you to your gates. Some roadways will experience switches as we redefine Terminal A and add the new DART Station.
State Highways 114 and 121, located to the north of DFW Airport, are in the process of undergoing $1 billion in improvements that will increase mobility, improve air quality and expand roadway capacity. The eight-mile project, known as the DFW Connector, wraps up in 2014 and will eventually allow you to easily access the Airport’s north entrance – no matter where you are coming from – without exiting the highway.
We suggest travelers entering the Airport from the north allow time for potential delays. For the latest information on closures and traffic switches, visit www.dfwairport.com/leaveearly or the official DFW Connector lane closure page.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC PATTERN SWITCH - TERMINAL A - MAY 16 - MAY 20, 2013
Between 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 16th and 4:00 a.m. on Monday, May 20th, there will be a temporary switch in the Terminal A traffic pattern. Click here to view a map outlining the temporary traffic pattern that will be put in place while we work to (re)define the middle section of the Terminal A parking garage.
IMPORTANT DAILY UPDATES - FRIDAY, MAY 17, 2013:
FULL WEEKEND CLOSURE: Northbound International Parkway north of DFW Airport - Description: Full highway closure on northbound International Parkway north of DFW Airport for a traffic switch. Please see "This Weekend's Traffic Switch" for more information.
- Date and Time: Continuously from 8 PM on Friday, 5/17 to 6 AM on Monday, 5/20.
- Detour: Traffic will be detoured to Freeport Parkway, then westbound SH 114 to Texan Trail and Northwest Highway/SH 26. Click here to see a detour map.
- Associated Closures: Full ramp closure on westbound SH 114 off-ramp to northbound SH 121 (detour to Texan Trail, then Northwest Highway); full ramp closure on eastbound SH 114 off-ramp to northbound SH 121 (detour to Texan Trail, then Northwest Highway).
