How does the DFW Airport Board purchase goods and services?
The purchasing procedures for the DFW Airport Board functions
are centralized. It is through the Airport Boards Procurement
and Materials Management Department that the purchase of maintenance,
repair and operating supplies are processed.
Does the DFW Airport Board buy what I sell?
Probably. The DFW Airport Board buys items necessary to maintain
and operate the Airport.
What Airport departments buy what I sell?
All 24 DFW Airport Board departments requisition Procurement
and Materials Management to buy the necessary goods and services,
to support DFW Airport including maintenance and operating
supplies, and services.
How do I make myself known to those departments?
The Procurement and Materials Management Department is the
first point of contact at DFW Airport at 972 574 3310.
How do I get started?
Determine whether the Airport Board buys what you sell. Get
your company listed in the Airport Board's vendor database.
To do this, fill out a DFW Vendor
Profile Form; a form which requests information on your
firm and the goods or services you provide. To receive a form,
call 972 574 3310 or fill out and submit the form available
on this site.
Once you have submitted the Vendor Profile Form, your firm's
name will be added to the Airport Board's vendor database
and used for the creation of solicitation notification lists.
The solicitation notification depends on the commodities or
services you identify on the form. Please note that completing
the Vender Profile Form is not the same as getting certified
as a Minority/Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE), Disadvantaged
Business Enterprise (DBE), or Historically Underutilized Business
(HUB). You must submit a separate certification form(s) to
the appropriate entity.
How do I find out about upcoming solicitations?
If you are in the vendor database you will be sent an invitation
to bid notice for bids and proposals in the commodity and
service areas that you selected.
Read the Public Notice section of various newspapers including
the Dallas Morning News and Fort Worth Star-Telegram newspapers, call the Airport Boards Bidders Hotline
at 972 574 8024, or you may view current solicitaion information
under Solicitation
Schedules.
How do I get a copy of a solicitation package?
DFW Airport distributes solicitation packages in several ways:
- U.S. Mail
- Commercial delivery service providers.
- Pick up in person at the Airport Boards P&MM
Department:
3122 East 30th Street (Carbon Road)
P. O. Drawer 619428
Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, Texas 75261-9428
How do I submit a bid or proposal?
It is important that you respond according to the instructions
in the solicitation package, or we may not be able to consider
your bid. The Airport Board selects the bidder offering the
best value to its solicitations or the proposal most advantageous
to the DFW Airport Board.
Can I be present at the bid opening?
Yes. The date and time of the opening is specified on each
solicitation package.
How do I learn about bid results?
All bidders receive by mail a bid summary. To find out if
the bid has been tabulated and award made, call DFW Airport
at 972 574 3310.
