The Controlling Documents define how the Airport manages its financial affairs.
The 1968 Contract and Agreement established the Airport Board and provided the authority for the Board to act on behalf of the Cities of Dallas and Fort Worth in managing the Airport.
The Airport currently has two controlling bond ordinances, the 1968 Concurrent Bond Ordinance and the 30th Supplemental Bond Ordinance, which was adopted in 2000 and substantially amended the 1968 Ordinance.
In 2010, the Owner Cities approved a Master Bond Ordinance, which will amend and restate the Controlling Ordinances. This Master Bond Ordinance will become effective upon approval by 66 2/3% of all the bondholders and all credit providers.
The Airport operates pursuant to a hybrid Airlines Use Agreement, which became effective October 1, 2010.
