DFW Helps Make Holiday Travel Easier

LOOK FOR PARKING SPECIALS, NEW SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS, EASY CONNECTIONS AND HOLIDAY HELPERS

Christmas through New Year’s is a busy time for everyone, especially travelers and the Airports they visit. DFW has some great new features and helpful procedures to make your holiday traveling enjoyable.

ON-AIRPORT PARKING
Visitors to our Express and Remote Parking lots will receive a special gift this year: a free upgrade to Terminal Parking! Coupons for a free day of Terminal Parking will be distributed at Express and Remote lots December 22 - 25, and can be redeemed through January 3. Click here for on-Airport parking information.

NEW SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS
Fifty new shops and restaurants recently opened in DFW’s new International Terminal D. Even if you are not flying out of this terminal, once inside security you can take the Skylink train to Terminal D, or any of DFW’s other terminals for food, drinks, shopping and other specialty services. Exciting new restaurants include Reata Grill featuring Western cuisine, and Tigín Irish Pub, serving homemade Irish food and specialty beers. Click here for listings of shops and restaurants and services in all five terminals.

CONNECTING AT DFW
There are two easy, quick and free ways to connect between terminals at DFW. If you are inside security, you can ride the Skylink train to any other terminal, with an average ride time of only five minutes. If you are outside security, a green Terminal Link shuttle bus will take you directly to another terminal. Click here for all the details on how to connect at DFW. *Remember to use Skylink to visit shops and restaurants in all five terminals!

IMPROVED SECURITY CHECKPOINT PROCEDURES
DFW has streamlined the process for easing passengers through security checkpoints. These features include drawstring bags to hold metal objects, slippers to cover your feet while going through the X-ray, and new signage indicating X-ray preparation procedures. Click here to review the procedures and signs that you will see at the security checkpoints.

HOLIDAY HELPERS
DFW’s Holiday Helpers will be located in every terminal on Thursday December 22. These DFW volunteers provide guests with an enjoyable and relaxing experience during the busy holiday season. Activities include special giveaways for children, popcorn, cotton candy, Pepsi sampling and live entertainment.

DFW’s Airport Ambassadors are located throughout the Airport to help guests find their way through the Airport. Look for the red “Ask Me” button worn by DFW’s more than 500 Ambassador volunteers. DFW looks forward to helping the millions of guests expected to travel through the Airport this season. Happy Holidays to you all!
