What DFW Airport Has Provided:

• Drawstring bags to hold metal objects such as keys, cell phones, pocket change, belts, etc. These bags are yours to keep, so after X-ray please simply pick them up and continue toward your departure gate.
  
  
• Slippers to allow removal of shoes prior to arrival at the X-ray. Slippers also are intended to encourage you to quickly move beyond the X-ray area.
  
  
• Improved signs as reminders of preparation procedures for the X-rays, including the following:

	Please keep your boarding pass in hand as you walk through the metal detector. Leaving it in your carry-on, purse or coat pocket will cause delays.		Laptop computers and video cameras must be removed from cases and placed in a separate tub for X-ray. Do not place anything on top of them.
	All jackets and suit coats must be removed prior to going through the metal detector.		Weapons, knives, scissors, lighters, firearms and explosives are strictly prohibited.
	Bags are provided to hold all metal objects that you have on your person.

• Benches to improve the ease of shoe removal prior to the X-ray and toward the rear of the checkpoint to facilitate putting shoes back on.
  
  
• Signs following the x-ray to direct passengers to tables and benches.

This bench is provided as a convenient location to put on your shoes and remove your items from the bag.

What you as a passenger can do:

• Keep your boarding pass handy.
  
  
• While waiting in line, place all metal objects in the drawstring bags provided. After X-ray, please take the bag with you
  and empty its contents at a more convenient time.
  
  
• Wear shoes that are easy to take on and off. Most shoes require X-ray screening.
  
  
• Once through the X-ray, move to the benches at the rear of the checkpoint before putting on your shoes.
