DFW Welcomes Alaska Airlines As Newest Carrier To The Airport
Travelers Can Now Fly on 22 Carriers From DFW
DFW is pleased to announce Alaska Airlines as the newest passenger carrier to the Airport. Beginning this fall, Alaska Airlines will offer twice daily nonstop service to Seattle, with one of those daily flights continuing on to Anchorage, Alaska. This direct service from DFW to Anchorage means passengers on the flight will not have to change planes. This additional service to popular Northwest destinations will be extremely beneficial to North Texas travelers.

DFW currently has nonstop service to Seattle and seasonal service to Anchorage via American Airlines. The Airport welcomes the new service from Alaska Airlines as it continues to offer more competition and choice for North Texas travelers. For instance, nonstop service from DFW to Washington, D.C. Reagan National Airport and Indianapolis began in February. Later this spring and summer, nonstop flights will be available to the following cities: Buffalo, NY; Champaign and Moline, IL; Rochester, MN; Madison, WI; Lexington, KY; Savannah, GA and Fort Walton Beach, FL.

The new Alaska Airlines flights will operate on Boeing 737 aircraft and be optimally timed to connect in Seattle to numerous points throughout Alaska Airlines’ Pacific Northwest network:
  • Flight #811 leaves DFW at 8 a.m. and arrives in Seattle at 10 a.m.

  • Flight #809 leaves DFW at 6:10 p.m. and arrives at 8:10 p.m., with continuing service to Anchorage, arriving at 11:35 p.m.

  • Heading back to DFW, flight #808 will leave Anchorage at 6:05 a.m. and go to Seattle. The flight will leave Seattle at 11:18 a.m. and arrive at DFW at 5:08 p.m.

  • Travelers also can take the red-eye, Flight #810, which leaves Seattle at 11:30 p.m. and arrives at DFW at 5:20 a.m.
The Seattle-based Alaska Airlines has been in business for more than 70 years and consistently receives recognition from top travel magazines, due in part to its high level of service.

DFW continually works to attract new airlines, as well as new and additional service from existing carriers. Alaska Airlines will receive a hearty reception when it first lands at DFW this fall. DFW looks forward to welcoming this carrier that will take many North Texas travelers to the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
