Twenty beautifully handcrafted wooden rockers are located at various locations in Terminal B, primarily near baggage claim areas, for customers to sit in and relax while waiting for their flight or for arriving passengers. A special tag describing the craftsmanship of the rocker hangs from each chair.

The makers of the Kennedy Presidential Rocker handcraft DFW's solid oak porch rocker. President Kennedy's personal physician recommended the rocker for relief of his lower back pain. He eventually had Kennedy Rockers in the Capitol, the White House, Presidential yacht and several of his homes.

The DFW Rocker is one of several customer service efforts initiated by DFW. Other initiatives include the new Guest Services Center located in Terminal B near Gate B14, providing travelers with a professional and comfortable environment to work or relax while waiting for their departing or connecting flight. In addition, information booths staffed with friendly Airport Ambassadors are conveniently located throughout the terminals to help passengers with their travel needs.

As a part of the Airport's continuing efforts to improve the travel experiences of our guests, DFW hopes that these Rockers and all other customer service initiatives will help ease the stress of air travel.
