| Along with a new era
of world-class customer service and significant improvements
to Airport facilities, DFW introduces a new brand image.
As DFW continues to develop programs to meet its guests
current and future travel needs, a new brand image was introduced
to reflect the major changes occurring at DFW. The new branding
reflects the Airports international appeal, customer
focus and business-like management, giving it a distinctive
identity. The "airstream" in the new logo represents
the sense of flight and freedom that air travel provides the
DFW traveling public.
The Airport is investing $2.6 billion in the development
of its infrastructure over five years to enhance its status
as a world-class transportation facility. Improvements consist
of a state-of-the-art, bi-directional Automated People Mover
system that will transport passengers between terminals in
an average of five minutes; a 23-gate, consolidated International
Terminal D that will boast a new 300-room Grand Hyatt Hotel;
and significant airfield improvements such as three runways
extensions. All projects will be completed by Spring 2005.
DFW continues to implement additional customer service amenities
throughout the Airport as it reaffirms its commitment to providing
world-class customer service to each and every guest. New
enhancements include upgraded parking facilities such as the
addition of covered parking at Remote Parking for Terminal
B, a Courtesy Patrol Program that provides vehicle assistance
in DFW parking areas (currently underway at Terminal B parking
areas), and terminal aesthetic enhancements. Future projects
include a Guest Services Center that will provide the traveling
public with a professional and comfortable environment to
work or relax while waiting for their flight, a Childrens
Play Area for young passengers and their parents to enjoy
a fun-filled activity center, and the addition of approximately
15,000 parking spaces over the next three years.
The Airport is also committed to providing quality air service
for the benefit of its travelers. DFW currently provides nonstop
service to more than 160 destinations worldwide on 29 passenger
carriers and offers more than 60 daily nonstop international
departures to cities in Canada, Mexico, Central and South
America, the Caribbean, Europe and Asia. The presence of important
airline alliance partners such as oneworld and SkyTeam enables
DFW passengers to make convenient connections to almost any
city around the world.
Implementation of the new brand image began September 5 with
various Airport vehicles, signage, printed materials and a new
website. Look for the new DFW brand image on Airport items everywhere,
representing the new vision of DFW Airport. |
