Under general direction of the Assistant Vice President, Risk Management, performs professional level work associated with the development and implementation of the Airport's claims adjudication programs for all lines, whether insured or self-funded. Work includes the administration and handling of all claims investigations, file handling/review, negotiation, settlement and other associated closure issues, in accordance with statutory requirements, policy form, Board policy and contractual agreements. Develops, implements and maintains Enterprise Risk Management. Becomes familiar with the basics of DFW Airport's Environmental Management System & Environmental Policy and implements Best Management & Good Housekeeping Practices.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, insurance/risk management, public administration or related field.
- Five (5) years of claims experience, with specific emphasis in commercial lines of property, casualty and/or workers' compensation programs.
- Two (2) years supervisory experience.
- Possession of a Texas Multi-lines Adjuster License.
- Possession of a valid Class C Texas driver's license.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of multiple lines of insurance and associated case law.
- Knowledge of the Texas Tort Claims Act.
- Knowledge with basic litigation rules, as related to service, timing, customary motions and other standard discovery tools.
- Skill in communicating orally and in writing.
- Skill in conducting investigations and required hearings.
- Ability to interview persons to extract politically sensitive information.
- Ability to gather, analyze and evaluate facts and to prepare and present concise oral and written reports.
- Ability to develop claim handling programs/notices/procedures for all lines of coverage.
- Ability to meet and interface with attorneys, physicians, case workers, adjusters, accident reconstruction specialists, medical review vendors and others to exchange information, explain and interpret facts and resolve differences.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels, both within and outside the organization.
- Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and supervise the work of others.

- Charter Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) certification.
- Associate Risk Management (ARM) certification.
- Associate In-Claims (AIC) certification.
- Experience with self-funded and/or self claims administered programs.
