Thank you for all the wonderful comments about the redesign. It is great to see you are just as excited as we are about the new website! Together, we are making it even better, so keep sending those comments to us.
As John and a few others pointed out, we have not yet updated all the web pages. For this initial launch, we focused on redesigning the key pages travelers visit the most. Later, once we’ve gathered all your comments, we will take a look at how to alter the other pages accordingly.
Now, let’s talk terminal tours.
I remember when I looked online for a new house... I never could figure out exactly how everything really came together. I mean, was the living room next to the kitchen? And where was the bathroom anyway?
Then I came across my first online panoramic home tour. And just let me say, WOW.
Now, that’s how you can view DFW’s Terminal D. An online panoramic tour allows you to virtually walk through the more than 2 million square feet of the terminal. When you “turn” your head left or right, the camera moves as well.
And, not to geek out too much, but I think it’s super neat. To achieve the effect, we used a special camera with a rotating, 360-degree lens and took lots and lots and lots of pictures.
By taking the tour, it will be like you are at DFW International Airport before you arrive. You will be able to see the distance between a restaurant and your gate, check out the colorful artwork and familiarize yourself completely with Terminal D.
If a photograph is worth a million words, then our virtual tour is worth a billion, maybe even two, because it allows you to fully explore and experience the terminal at your own pace. Look at what you want to look at, not what a photographer wants you to see.
The Panoramic Terminal D Tour is accessible from the Terminal D page at www.dfwairport.com/terminals/d. We plan to add this same feature for all terminals by the fall. Check it out and tell me your thoughts!

| the virtual tour is awesome! i love being able to "see" where i am going to be so that i can plan ahead of time. this will save me lots of stress! |
