Does anyone know the current state of the Asset Development Sustainability Initiative (ADSI) purported to have been kicked off in 2007?

Good article (Sustainability: Learn How to Be Resource-Efficient at Work). The Environmental Affairs Department's policy is to double side as many paper documents as possible in order to reduce our paper waste.

Good point. New technology, such as LED's, is often more expensive in the early years. However, it is important to realize that energy efficient products cost less to operate and can often pay for themselves over time.

I am sure, many of us are aware of the destruction we cause to our environment, however, anything that is considered evironmental friendly is expensive. Therefore, some measure to get the prices down will allow many of us to use products like LED lights and many more.

I feel today’s society has been spoiled with convenience. The argument of paper verses plastic is a classic example. Reusing durable containers over and over again can be translated to other items. When you are at work why not use a ceramic or travel mug for your morning coffee, instead of reaching for the convenient paper cup. The same concept can be applied to most any planned activity that you perform from day to day. However, there are those times when you do not have a choice and you have to deal with the paper or plastic waste. Just remember to be responsible and recycle. Just think of putting away your paper or plastic, instead of throwing it away.

I've found that using the rubber balls in the dryer instead of dryer "Sheets" is one small way of helping the environment. Every little bit helps.

LED's have several advantages over traditional lights. I'll post some information about the environmental benefits of LED lights in the coming weeks.
