It is the policy of the Airport Board and the Cities of Dallas and Fort Worth to promote and provide adequate and efficient regulated services at the Airport. To this end, rules and regulations for regulated services at the Airport are developed to protect the public health and safety, to promote the public convenience and necessity, and to facilitate efficient utilization of the roadway system and terminal curbside space while respecting the concept of free enterprise.
Ground Transportation Administration issues company, driver and vehicle permits to commercial transportation service providers that are regulated under Chapters 4 and 5 of the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport Board Code of Rules and Regulations.
DFW is dedicated to the establishment of standards to ensure that the safest, highest-quality and best-managed transportation services are readily available to the traveling public.
CENTRAL QUEUE
The Central Queue is the primary staging area for the commercial vehicles permitted to operate at DFW Airport.
Taxis are dispatched to the terminals on demand from Terminal Support Services curbside personnel to meet the needs of the traveling public. Upon request, taxis also are dispatched to several other Airport locations such as the Airport Administration Building, the CDP Building, the Rental Car Center, the Grand Hyatt DFW and the Hyatt Regency DFW Hotels.
Inspectors are also on duty with the responsibility of verifying the cleanliness, maintenance and operating condition of the taxis and shared ride vehicles for the benefit and comfort of the traveling public.
