Training

Ambassadors must attend a 3-hour orientation session to become familiar with the program. Some of the topics covered during orientation include what volunteers can expect, what their duties will be as well as the program's requirements.

Following orientation, volunteers will receive classroom training and on-the-job training with an experienced staff member in the field. Volunteers also receive a training manual which includes airline locations, terminal maps, emergency numbers, contact names, surrounding area/event information, facts about the Airport and other pertinent information.

A volunteer is asked to work a minimum of one (1) four-hour shift each week. Ongoing training is provided to volunteers on a regular basis.
