The Home pages shown illustrate basic layout principles of typical Web site pages. Subsequent pages follow the same principles. Please refer to the Identity section of these guidelines for general reference to the DFW Logo, DFW Logo & Logotype, tagline, color palette and typography.

The DFW Logo or DFW Logo & Logotype will always be staged in the upper left corner of the page with sufficient clear space between it and other graphic elements. The horizontal header panel at the top of the page will contain main identification elements such as the masthead and tagline. The vertical panel below the Logo will contain the primary navigation menu directing the user through the content of the site. These two panels frame the body of the page that contains headlines, photography, illustrations, text and features.

Typography for headlines and text is Avenir in contrasting weights and sizes. Body copy for all web pages is Arial. Content navigation menus in the vertical panel are arranged flush-right in alignment with the logo, all other headlines and text in the site are arranged flush-left.

Web site pages will be predominately white, the preferred background color for the DFW Gradient Blue Logo. Typography throughout the site is primarily black, including the masthead and tagline. DFW Solid Blue is applied to content navigation menus. DFW Solid Blue and colors from the secondary color palette may be applied to headline text or to special graphic panels containing highlighted text and illustrative elements. Care must be taken to ensure that use of the secondary color palette enriches the site, in harmony with the primary color palette and the Logo.
