DFW AIRPORT BRANDED SIGNING Use of the DFW Logo, color, typography and signing materials in the airport
environment must reflect the overall DFW Brand Identity Program. This
section outlines some basic brand principles and design points that will
help DFW representatives, staff members, internal architects and sign
designers make informed decisions on brand signing. It is essential that
the user of this section is familiar with the contents of the Identity
Section of these Guidelines. If you have any questions about the content

| MATERIALS
AND FINISHES
Different materials will be appropriate in different architectural environments. In any situation, regardless of the material cost, the Logo should always look crisp, reflecting the highest standards of craftsmanship. Material and paint finishes must be carefully specified to ensure that the Logo never looks cheaply made.
Every effort should be made to ensure that the Logo in Gradient Blue/White is accurately reproduced as shown in these Guidelines on suitable material substrates. The Logo in Gradient Blue/White or metallic silver may be fabricated in laser die-cut vinyl or three-dimensional materials. The Logo in metallic silver may be etched or sandblasted in contrasting finishes on stainless steel or brushed aluminum. The Logo, in a non-color version, may be sandblasted on glass. DIMENSIONALITY Whenever feasible the Logo and brand typography should be dimensional. This may be achieved in two ways.
Service names may be three-dimensional raised letters. These letters may be white or metallic silver.
On video monitors the Logo in Gradient Blue/White may be displayed on a white or black background. |
